WECMRD Field House - Edwards, Colorado

The WECMRD Fieldhouse is a steel frame structure with a focus on sustainability. The building will have an innovative solar wall to heat and cool the building's fresh air, materials made from rapidly renewable resources, and possibly its own wind turbines. The project has also already donated excess soil for improvements to the nearby EcoTrail. The field house itself will contain a synthetic turf soccer field, an indoor track, a gymnastics area, volleyball an basketball courts, office, meeting and reception spaces. Construction of the 57,739 SF facility started in April 2009 and will be complete by December 2009.
