Established in 1976 by R.A. “Chupa” Nelson, R.A. Nelson & Associates has grown from an enterprising, two-man partnership to an organization with 60+ employees now based out of two regional offices. Founded and headquartered in the Vail Valley of Colorado, we have helped build some of the most note-worthy resort communities in the West, including: Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Snowmass, Telluride, Copper Mountain, Keystone, and Breckenridge, as well as Lake Tahoe and Mammoth, California.
As a mountain contractor since our inception, we have focused on taking care of the communities where we live and play: building sustainable structures with the know-how of a local. We excel at working in difficult-to-access areas, have dealt with extreme winter conditions and challenging soils, and are familiar with the government entities and requirements throughout our high-altitude towns.
R.A. Nelson offers an exceptional range of services, from preconstruction through property management and maintenance. Our accomplishments include numerous award-winning projects for recreational complexes,
multi-family housing, custom homes and community structures.
